My male looked GREAT on EVO Red Meat Large Bites, wonderful coat, his energy was through the roof BUT he started having some trouble urinating and it was suggested I pull him off of such a high protein food, I did and he had no more problems urinating.  We switched back to one that is corn free, but not totally grain free.  He's somewhat itchy, his coat isn't great, his weight is good (I am feeding 20% fat), his energy is ok but he's not amped up like he was on EVO, and I don't feel like he's on the absolute best food for him.  I did do RAW with him for a while and frankly, he did better on EVO.  I am getting so confused and I feel like I've looked at every dog food and none suit my boy's needs.  He is a working dog and if I don't keep his fat content high he starts to get too lean for me.  Here's what I am looking for: -Completely Grain Free -High Fat (18% or more) -Lower protein than 42% -Widely available or company will ship to "the sticks" in USA Thanks so much all. -Nichole

go to a meat market

order

10 lbs of beef fat

5 lbs of heart, kidney, liver or other really inexpensive meat

grind them, mix them, semi- cook them if you wish, add to regular kibble and violet you have it

get low protein meat, red meats are good. don't forget fish oils, some bones and brewers yeast, helps the skin, low veggies more fruit, innerds are good, and if possible green tripe, think you can buy it in cans ,too but fresh is better, that you hardly need any fruit, the better the green tripe, the less fruit/veggies. Potaoes cooked) are good, a nice filler, carbohydrates. Red beets and such.

I have trouble here with the climate and the dogs skin, climate is different than in gemany, sounds silly... nope I have the same troubles like my dogs, food is the key. Beef up, and add some omegas, maybe even some fish, stay away from puoltry, that is high in protein and cause a lot of trouble.
