I am purchasing a puppy and only the stud's linage is in the database. Can I, using the registration, add the dam's linage into the database?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

If you HAVE ALL THE CORRECT INFO, I don't see why not. I put Dukes in there, with some help from some on the database to get me started...

You should register the dam first, and then register the puppy. Once that it done you can link their pedigrees. If you have any questions, just reply and I'll paste the instructions.

the missing dogs are already registered Czeck dogs that don't happen to be in this database yet.

So, If i have copies from past generations, I can carefully fill in the database to include these dogs.

Yes, that is correct. The most important thing to do is make sure that these "missing" dogs are truely not in the database, as several dogs are here more than once due to a slight spelling error with their name when they were entered the first time. We can now correct the spelling of a dog's name.

This database functions best when every dog registered can be linked all the way back to SZ 1 Horand Grafath. I realize that is not always possible since the pedigrees of some dogs who lived between the genesis of the breed and present times cannot be found. So, please go ahead and include all of these missing dogs.

Best Regards,

Bob-O
