I know VA, V, SG, etc. but what does EZ, T2, and T3 connotate? Thanks.

These terms relate to the protection phase all dogs in the working dog class (2 years old and with title) must pass before standing for exam or doing any gaiting.

TSB definitions:
Ausgepragt - pronounced. "Pronounced' means the dog showed self-assurance, convincing, goal-driven gripping and holding, and had no negative reaction to stick hits, and watched carefully and intently in the guarding phase.

Vorhanden - sufficient. 'Sufficient' means the dog showed some limitations, for example, in self-assurance, in committing to
the goal, in gripping and taking hits, and/or in the guarding phase.

Nicht genugend - insufficient.
'Insufficient' means the dog showed little or no self-assurance, and demonstrate s a lack of ability to withstand duress/pressure, and/or is disinterested in, or avoids the Helper.

More later. My pups are now arriving.

WTF?

The "T" ratings:

T1,T2,T3,T4 = nach TSB ausgeschieden
meaning T1,T2,T3,T4 = Cut (separated out) due to TSB faults or failings (see above).

T1 = Labt nicht ab, ohne Bewertung =  The dog does NOT RELEASE ON COMMAND. Therefore the dog is given NO rating for TSB.
The dog did everything else right and 'Pronounced,' but refused to "out" on command.
If a dog fails to "out," (release on command), he is demonstrating a failure of obedience.

T2= TSB vorhanden
=  demonstrated enough to still pass (sufficient)

T3 = TSB nicht genuegend
 = TSB was insufficient in the work

T4= abgebrochen wegen mangelnder Fuhrigkeit
= not allowed to continue due to lack of obedience such as not heeling or being out of control.

Back to the birthday party. Five pups, four females, one male so far with one or more yet to arrive.

Congrats on the pups! Anybody know what the EZ means?

by hodie on 11 December 2008 - 06:12

EZ = "Entschuldigt zurückgezogen" - means the handler has taken the dog to the show vet (supposedly because the dog is ill, but often it is BS) to get an excuse to not show the dog any further after the dog has stood for exam. It is often abused for a variety of reasons and the SV is making it more difficult to get such an excuse.
