Anyone know of people transporting dogs via car? I know it’s a long shot given the situation now but have to ask. PM if needed

So glad you brought this topic up. I know nothing about ground transporters & am very curious to learn.

There are a few companies that do this. I don't know who's good and who's bad, though. Google...

You might have a family member, neighbor, or friend out of work that needs the $$$

I was told about TNT Transport but neither buyer or I are comfortable going this route.
Flights are still avail so we shall see.

My friend utilized a ground transport and both seller & buyer were happy with it, but now that transporter has been shut down by covid.

Where do you need dog picked up from and deliverd too

Chicago to LA but buyer does not want to use transportation. It would have to be someone that I know they know and can be trusted. Going to stick with shipping.

Plenty of outfits do this but I would never use them. Usually it's a large amount of dogs stuffed into a truck or van for days at a time while the transporter drives hither and thither delivering dogs. I wouldn't do that to an animal and would consider it risky for the dog's health in regards to communicable diseases.

The only time I've used ground transport was when the dog was the only one in the vehicle and being driven straight to me nonstop.

I use ground transportation all the time. I have never had an overloaded situation...the animals have had great care and arrive with less stress than after flying.....that's my experience!

Can you recommend good one(s)?
Thanks.

Maybe the buyer could pick up?  That's what I did, and the puppy and I had a great 26-hour bonding experience, including the stop at the vet :-)
