Video embed function not working? - Page 1

I have used the video embed function before with success, but today it did not work on a post, so am testing it here.    Anybody else have problems trying to embed a youtube vid?   Darn, I see it works here when I selected "enable editor" but it did not work when editing a post that I made and wanted to add to after it was posted.   Figured out the issue - when using the "embed" line for pasting the URL  you need to delete all the https and stuff before the video ID.    

 

So, just to reiterate what you need to do to use the embed function at the bottom of the "full editor"...

1)  You need to copy the URL of your video that you wish to embed. Paste the URL into the section at the bottom of the editor page.

2)  Delete all the stuff like in the red text - "https://youtu.be/D9NN77PI3Sc

3)  Submit

In the past I had tried to post videos and could not figure it out ~ it was  way easier then I was making  it ~ 

 

 

 

No problem Ruger. The forum tutorial is not very explanatory and perhaps the admins can update it. The key part about deleting some of the URL is not mentioned, and it won't work otherwise.
