The birds here are spectacular and this one is top notch. They're here through spring and summer and this colorful male was posing for my camera the other day. Enjoy the Painted Bunting! The green ones could be young birds or females, they're colored the same. Males don't get their colorful plumage until adulthood.

Thanks Jenni, I love it here! Drake is also in his glory with all of this open space, it's the most freedom he's ever had. :)

Wow, what a spectacular little bird! We don't get anything so colourful here, but there's no shortage of wildlife. It's great to have a lot of space, isn't it (for both dog and human, lol)? I grew up in the city, and now having a small acreage is wonderful!!

I do, I even have an extra bathroom. I am planning on taking walls off of one bedroom, screening it in and furnishing it with a hammock and not much else. It will be my summer bedroom since I hate to sleep in air conditioning :)
