What Does MGS mean? - Page 1

Good morning,

I am new to the Pedigree Database. My GSD is now on the database, and I noticed that her mother's name has (MGS) at the end of her name and I was wondering what that stands for/means?

I believe that stands for Ministry of Defense Guard Service, although I've never seen that used as any type of formal title. It may indicate some of the dog's training by that group. The below wikipedia link has some information on that-

I've also seen it referenced as Majestic German Shepherd , but I would not expect to see such reference listed in a pedigree database entry.

I have never heard of that.
I looked up dogs with that with their name, only 2 dogs came up and I would guarantee both didn't work under the Ministry service.

I did a search for MGS and saw that one user added it to the names of their entries, the letters are also the initials of a kennel. Since the initials are not part of the dogs' registered names, I'll delete them.
