Anyone know a good trainer for a GSD pup? One of mine is in need of a trainer to get him to the next level. 4.5 month old, no special issues, just a full-of-himself little heathen (Eliot) who is a bit beyond the puppy socialization classes offered in the big box stores. Pup has potential for sport, agility, SAR, etc. He's a very nice puppy.......or he was a month ago when I sold him, lol. He is already ahead of most puppy classes' objectives. Any help with clubs or trainers is much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Try contacting John Bochenek. He's over near Detriot, but may know of a good trainer in the Kal area.

Well Mannered Dog Center for agility, specifically Mel Pellerito, I train under her when I have enough $$$ to do private lessons or group drop-ins with my trained dog. I've never done obedience there so not sure if I can recommend it. I'm pretty sure the people there who do higher level obedience were trained/train elsewhere, just use the facility like we do for flyball and agility, I cannot vouch for the obedience trainers that train the younger/lower levels. Our flyball team trains there if they are interested in flyball. I've also done nosework at WMDC. It's literally ON the highway that comes north from K-zoo so about 45 mins - 1 hr.
