I have a dutch shepherd and need to join a national level club to start competing which is better for me the DVG America or USMRA Mondio. I want to compete schutzhund I was wanting to go with DVG but you have to join with your local club and I don't have a local club that is dvg or usmra since they all own German Shepherds.

I don't understand the difference between the two clubs and what they represent. If I were to join the usmra mondio could I still compete in schutzhund? Would I be able to compete in any UScA trial through either club? I do not want to relocate I enjoy Kansas and the club I train with.

Yes you can compete in IPO if you join the Mondio club you would just need to get an AWDF scorebook through them which will get you into any AWDF member trial at club level.

Thanks Keith. What would I have to do in order to attain that score book?

You're going to be required to join USMRA. You can find everything you need here:

You realize the AWDF has a Dutchie club?
