Fawn- Help? - Page 1

Is this anywhere near you? There is a  pup in the Humane Society of NETX Hopefuls- Longview, TX I dont think he is much more than 6 mos old...Would love to get him to our rescue. If we can arrange to have him come to our rescue, is there anyway you could foster till transport or do you know anyone who could?

I think shandra is really close to longview.

Sure, I can pick him up.  He'll be within 1 hour of me Saturday.  As we talked on the phone, keep me informed.

I am 65 miles n of Houston so not really close to Longview at all. Unfortunately my car requires a new headgasket so until  can get that repaired I am limited to about 10 mile trips unless I rent a vehicle or beg a ride lol good thing my business is only 9 miles up the road. It's going to cost me roughly 1800.00 to do this, did it to the same car about 2 years ago and paid 1800.00. I am seriously considering just getting another vehicle, it has an extra rattle in the engine this time and it is a 2007 PT Cruiser with 80,000 miles on it, I will NEVER own another.. couldnt even give me one free of charge lol

Thanks, Fawn- will let you know soon as I speak with the shelter. Would be nice to get a healthy one in- we are taking in 2 abused emaciated shepherds, but thats Julie's specialty. She works wonders with them :) I think Julie is going to have this boy as her own personal dog if we can get him. She is in love.... Kind of like me with Tiffie.....

Shandra- I had a car once I hated so much because it always gave me grief. I went to arbitration and won. They offered me a new one of the car I had- turned them down without thinking twice.  It always smelled from gas and one day the radiator blew up on m e. I thought someone was shooting at the car, then saw the smoke and hightailed it out of the car. That was it, for me. DONE!

Good.  He is just too good looking.  The temptation to keep him myself would be very high.  Make Julie says he is hers so I will not think twice when I put him on the transport.   

Hahahahaha- called there but they are not open till 11 TX time. There is also a gorgeous female there... Gonna see if I can get some info, though transport pricesto transport 2 adult dogs would probably be crazy expensive :( She is a looker, though! Gonna ask about her temp and if she is good with other dogs. Then I will fight with myself ;)

So I guess we are saying to take my truck and not my Smart car?     Those 2 "Shar-pei" puppies are awful tempting too.  I started another thread to see if anyone will take them.

Female was adopted :) There is an application on handsome boy but he hasnt been picked up yet, so the ACO will call the people today and if they dont take him, we are the back-up. The blk GSD pup that looks so scared in the pic has a good temperament and he is housed with another dog and is dog friendly. he also  has an  app on him but people havent picked him up, either, so he is going to call them today, as well. We are also his back-up. Fingers crossed but either way it looks like they will be safe :) They will take our 501c3 :)
