We got Charlie about a year ago when he was 3 months old. He was a rescue listed as a boxer-pit mix. Now that he has essentially matured we're still trying to figure out what he is. He looks most like a Staffy of some sort to me, but he's not quite as thick as most Staffies I've seen. He has a bit of an underbite, which could be from some boxer in him? He is certainly the size of a Staffy, but when most people see him they say "Oh, what a cute boxer." But, I really would like to get the opinions of some people that know these breeds well. He's about 55 pounds.

Hello,
He seems to be an American Staffordshire terrier. He's too tall and too heavy to be a Staffy.
About his underbite,it's a conformation defect in the amstaff breed but not impossible. An american Staff will end his growing at 3 years old.
Best regards
Emmanuel
