I am curious what others thing would folks think would be the best part, to live, in the United States that offers the greatest amount/diversity of dog training clubs (my question is not only limited to protection dog sports)?

Tampa is a very good area for training clubs. Within a 30 minute drive we have 2, 3 Sch clubs, numerous agility, rally trainers, one training center that offers OB, dock diving, agility, nose work, rally. I'm sure there are others, these are the ones I know about. It's a very dog friendly area; dogs are allowed at many of the restuarants with outdoor seating and every weekend there is some sort of dog activity going on.

Hands down in schutzhund the BEST concentration of trainers, clubs and travel distances is the Mid-East Region of The United Sch Clubs of America ..... H Mich-Ohio-Indiana- last 3 years the Regional hosted 30+ Sch3 dogs and this past year was 40+ ...... Illinois has numerous clubs also but is in the N.C Region and Mid Central Region  ...... Regards ............. Greg

well, where I'm located Northeast Region...we have plenty of clubs and very nice facilities...now if we can only get the clubs/region to show better participation/comraderie....hopefully this year. Our club just opened a new field and the training director has opened a state of the art training/boarding/swimming/dock diving facility.

I am curious how does tracking work in Florida?  They have those fire ants there, right?

I am in Illinois (super Southern Illinois, which is not so great...lol).  My second hobby is driving to go schutzhunding.  Guess when I moved to the US I should have done my homework better.

There is usually enough room to lay a track where there are no fire ant hills .

Hi Ron:  Where is the new dock diving facility?  I tried this a few years aga with Molly and she loved it.  I can never find a place to practice.
