Pirates Lair

We had a Deputy Sheriff from Iowa training with us, we had him work with K9 Talu. To make a long story short this is Talus first time on an obstacle course.

Excellent,

A little weary on the beams, maybe his first time? For me I couldn't tell if the Deputy was "coaxing" the K9 with his fingers but in my eyes the K9 was "concentrating" on the beam and the deputy's hand was blocking the line of sight of the dog slowing the dog down. But an observation with only a few seconds?

Good in my eyes. My Reiker we trained with going through windows, over hay bales, at times the decoy was behind hay bales and there were fences/wood positioned where only way to get to decoy was over the fence, over the haybales. We would use multiple objects for resistance/interference and making him think on getting the decoy.

Those training/working will know but not sure of the others. Dogs are leary/wierd about what they walk on or the "feel" against their pads. Most won't walk on say the chain link or say grated metal/wire and the likes. My dogs will walk/run on the grate used for trailers' tail gates. It's kinda of funny when someone elses dog won't, won't go near it or will try to jump over or around it.

Getting ready to build an obstacle course this winter. Was thinking of a ring of fire........ but then said WHY?
