Three cheers for the women of Saudi Arabia who drove cars today, in defiance of the obviously sexist law that keeps them dependant. Three cheers for the husbands or other men, who are not afraid to support their women!

I second that beetree, very shameful not to allow their women to drive, by the way there is no written law against women driving in Saudi Arabia. After they win this fight for car driving they have a bigger one coming for free travel without a custodian, so silly and peculiar but it's the sour fact.
One more thing to add, we don't hear much from American leadership about the civil rights nor human rights in K.S.A and Bahrain !!!

Go Saudi Women. Talk about living in the dark ages over there. My word.

Of course there is no voiced support from civil rights leaders here in America, Ibrahim. Our leadership values the oil and military bases in KSA and Bahrain more!

One thing at a time, Ibrahim, I think it must go that way. I am surprised that even here, there has not been more support on this thread for these brave women. And yes, these women are being compared to Rosa Parks.
It would be astounding to think that their actions, like Rosa's , can be the catalyst for equality beyond their own imaginings.
