“How many calls did I get for Calvin’s services for this year’s Derby?” Hissam asked rhetorically. “None ... not a one ... absolutely none. And why was that? Don’t ask me. I am mystified. You want an answer, go ask all the other Derby trainers.

There is a great deal of pressure on the racing world to put on a good face because right now the world really is watching in a way they never have before due to the Zenyatta craze. Televised outbursts like the one Calvin displayed during the Breeder's Cup make a lot of owners and trainers nervous.

The backside commentary at Philly Park this afternoon is Stay Thursty has the best shot of winning big bucks.(lol) I'll prolly pick that horse 2 win too and Rosie's horse. I like to pick 2 win, so I buy multiple tickets.
Good Luck everyone !!!
If placement's are allowed and Ruler on Ice or Sway Away takes Uncle Bo's entry or any other scratched horse ... Ruler on Ice and Sway Away I'll pick 2 win also. Rosie Napravnik is one of the best aggressive female jockeys around ... her horse Pants on Fire should be lightening fast on the rail. She has alot of ground to pass to get there though.

They won't fill Uncle Mo's defection. 19 horses will start, which is still 5 horses too many.
