GSDCA-WDA_USA is an e-mail list group that was created for members of both the GSDCA-WDA (German Shepherd Dog Club of America Working Dog Association) and USA (United Schutzhund Club of America). The forum will focus on topics which are relevent to the GSDCA-WDA and/or the USA organizations and the German Shepherd Dog. Your full name, location (state only is fine), local Schutzhund club you are a current member of, and a brief introduction are required for you to join and participate on this e-mail list group. Margaret, Is this list that you mention the same as is currently running, supposedly as a voice for the United Schutzhund Clubs of America? Or is a new list?

This must be a new list, Sharyn, the one to which you refer is USA-GSD. Margaret Bradley...haven't seen your name in a while...how've you and your dogs been?

Are you a governing official in either of these organizations? I thought they had email groups already, or at least SchH USA? What do you hope to gain in this e-group that the other(s) havent accomplished?

Diore, Who cares what the listserve hopes to accomplish? Perhaps they do not have any hope to accomplish anything. That is the beauty of the internet. People can subscribe, lurk, be active or not..... The governing group of both organizations does not speak for all, in any case.

Yes, there is already a USA-GSD email list group and, I believe, there is a WDA email list group. However, they are for discussing either USA or WDA issues and the GSD only, not for discussing both WDA and USA issues. I am not a governing officer of either organization and I do not speak for them. I am a member of both organizations and belong to a local USA club in my area. Members can and should have a voice in the organizations they are a member of, imo. The list is intended to be a place to discuss both the organizations differences and similarities and perhaps a place where ideas can be exchanged to make some of these issues better. We'll see...

Hi Keith! I and my dogs are good, thanks for asking. Grace got her BH in September and we are now focusing only on tracking with her due to her back problems and unsuitable temperment for doing all 3 phases in SchH. I got a new dog about 7 months ago to continue on in SchH with. His name is Cliff, he's 22 months old now, dark sable, and was imported earlier this year. I'm having a BLAST with him in all 3 phases! :o) Our plan is to go for the AD, BH, and SchH1 this spring. Wish us luck!
