Steve1, I agree with everything you say.
OBL needed to be liquidated and although it was a violation of Pakistan's sovereignity, the US did the right thing in not telling them before the mission to eliminate him. There is no way in hell that OBL would have lasted in Pakistan for five or six years without some sort of support from higher-ups in that country.
Re the economic situation here, yes, we have problems but I travel a fair amount and I know that compared to most countries we still have a great life and a standard of living that is the envy of the world. As your former prime minister said a lot of people in other parts of the world would just love the opportunity to emigrate to the US if the law allowed it. He viewed that as being the acid test of what the US still has to offer its people.

When i read how much it costs you Guys to buy meat and Fish and such like and the cost of feeding your Dogs compared to where i am here in Belgium then things cannot be so bad in the USA as some say
Perhaps they had it even better before and the times now they think they are hard done by but still good compared to some of us.
I like Belgium it is home for me now after 7 years here, I worked for around 40 plus years in the UK from 15 years old, now i am following my two hobbies better here than i could in England
That of course is the pigeons and the ScH Dog Sport.
However Belgium is a quarter higher to live than the UK. even on household oil etc you pay 21% tax no concessions on anything. That i did not expect when we moved over and of course our Pensions come from the UK and not high then we lose as it is changed from Sterling to Euros, a struggle to keep going but i hope to stick it out in my remaning time i have.
I have much to achieve with the Dogs and Pigeons before i pop of this Earth.
