hexe, I'm in Florida but the puppy has never been out of the house yet so couldn't pick up anything

Mishasdad, canine herpes virus and pediatric neosporosis are typically passed from an infected dam to her pups in utero; infected adults are typically asymptomatic. Tick exposure even in a pup that young can still occur despite the pup not having been outdoors yet--the arthropod just needs to catch a ride into the house or kennel building on another animal or your own clothing, and drop off while in the general vicinity of where the pups are housed.
That said, your previous post said the pup was doing much better after having seen the 2nd vet; hopefully that improvement has continued, and there's no indication of the problem being from anything transmissible and there will be no permanent issues as a result of the experience.
