Yes, lol, I do always pay attention to ANYTHING she has in her mouth.  She has in the past picked up rocks to play with.  But, thank goodness, she knows the command, "Leave it!" very well!

Crocodile is a very good description....may become her new nick name.lol  My hubby about blew a gasket when I told him she'd already started on the new dogloo.  Thank goodness it's not "his" money!

Wow sounds like you could invest in a $1400.00 dog treadmil!  They are great for excercise and when I am really busy I can sit in my office and watch Sasha run!  The kind that I have is the manual treadmil, it is not electric, which means two things, nothing to break, and the dog is doing all of the work!   www.chandlersmills.com this guy has some awesome mills, they look like they are for fighting yes I know, but I know several people who have these, and they, myself included are not fighting dogs.  Mine is over 10 years old, and in perfect condition, the only thing is that it has the old style wheels so it is LOUD, the new ones are pretty quite!

Sasha loves the treadmil, Jager has only been on it once, I am waiting for him to grow a bit more before I let him up there.

Half an hour on the treadmil, and she is pretty relaxed when she comes off.

As for bones, I have been buying beef back ribs from the grocery store, at $.99 a pound they are cheaper than bully sticks, although they don't last quite as long, but to watch a dog devour one of these bones and the pure joy they get from eating them is amost criminal if you didn't give them bones in the future.

I give them the bones on their dog beds, and they are really good at not leaving the bed while they are eating the bones, and then they come to the kitchen for  a quick wipe down with a wet cloth.

I always watch them and when the meat is all chewed off, they get it for a few minutes longer, unless I hear a crack, then I just go over and take it all away.  I have not had any problems with giving these to the dogs, and their teeth are looking really nice!

As far as breaking teeth, one of my club member's dog broke a tooth chewing on a pig ear, he broke a canine tooth that cost him $5k to have replaced.  SO the hardness of the toy or chew does not mean anything.

I have been told that the beef BACK ribs are one of the most soft bones, and great for dogs to chew.  My dogs love them and they are pretty inexpensive!  Good luck!

OOh and by the way there is one more kong that is harder than the black, and that is the blue kong, dark blue.  Best of luck.

I have a couple of dogs that will trash any dog toy and they have motorcycle tyres to play with in the kennel.  So far so good.  Bit too big for in the house though.
