I can't say for others but I was taught that if you wish to change lanes you don't do it if there is another car there. You wait until the lane is clear. Is this different in Canada?

Western Rider, if you watch the video again, I think it's pretty clear the driver of the black pickup DELIBERATELY rammed the white SUV. As a matter of fact, he has now confessed he did it deliberately. And whether it was deliberate or not, yeah, you'd still be charged with a traffic offence in Canada. Of course the charge would be much more serious if it were deliberate. But it seems the owner of the white SUV, as of the last news I heard, decided not to go to the police. That may have changed, as I've heard the FBI is now involved. Of course, Trump is saying what happened was perfectly okay, and the FBI should butt out!
