And fci obedience and mondioring blitzen :p at mklevin breedclubs dont make the fci selection im from belgium and mario verslype is a personal friend of mine so yes i do know what it takes to make the fci team breedclubs only select teams die their own wc Wusv fmbb atibox idc ifr etc fci selections are made by national all breed organisation were most of breedclubs are just membres of. No competion ranks higher than fci everybody can try to get selected no matter what breed if you win that one you can say your the best claiming an 1breedchampionship is of a higher level but staying away form the one stage you can prove it are just empty words and a danger to any breed if breedenthousiast start believing their own lies thans why i wanna see those 96+ dogs at fci to see id they really are that good or if judging in wusv/sv is that much softer

Those are your thoughts and sad to be the first to tell you this, but you don't get to decide.

Hank is the world champion GSD two years in a row and one time BSP champion as well as 2x 300 IPO3.  THE WORLD VENUE for GSD's is the WUSV.  The goal is to be called the #1 GSD in the world.  For you, you believe the FCI is the highest honor.  The GSD people don't and now that you mention it, the same is true with Boxers.  I trained with Dennis who won the Boxer Worlds years ago and for him (and he's from Germany) the Boxer worlds was the venue.

The FCI is the all breed World Championships.  No one who wins that believes that they are better than the WUSV counterpart.  Orry v.h. Atverpa (belgium dog).  Two time WUSV champion and one time FCI Champion.  The selections for the FCI are made AFTER the selections are made for the WUSV.  The top dogs go to their respective worlds, the next tier compete at the FCI.

As far as the rest of your comments, its all just mud slinging.  Train, trial qualify for them and then talk to me about how soft those dogs are.  Until then, you have no clue.

zdog, good point re:reading the dog, would certainly hope anyone competing at that level was an expert at doing so, and was silly of me to overlook that factor.

matt, I appreciate the confirmation re the FCI trials; was just humoring you WRT your question--which was facetious, I presumed--"What's an all breed trial?"  Just a little 'Who's on first?' play.

I never said soft dogs i didn't sling mud i asked a question nothing more nothing less but the fact that you feel attacked says more about you than about me and yes i know mr bauwer to atibox was he's goal as he realised fci was not a realistic goal to try 2achieve but you know fair more than i do and you probebly worked a lot more topdogs as a helper than i ever will or have done in the past all heill to you

by mklevin on 13 October 2014 - 18:10

LOL.  I remember Dennis' dog well.  He was a banger and world class all the way and yes I did do some of the helper work for him.  I was also his helper for his IPO1.

I don't feel attacked in the slightest.  I just recognise the well worn rant of the Mali being better than the GSD and the GSD being afraid....blah blah blah and just heading it off at the pass. Of course you didn't sling mud, " if breedenthousiast start believing their own lies" is as pure as the driven snow.

As for the rest, those are just plain indisputable facts.  If Helmut wanted to show Hank at the FCI because it was better prestige/competition, he could''ve would've.  Same is true with Orry and the list just goes on.  You are the first and only person I have ever heard who talks about the FCI being more prestigious than the worlds and that everyone wants to go to the FCI instead of the worlds.  The facts don't support your position at all.
