You also might want to consider knpv lines, the Dutch have produced some nice Gsd as of late

Dear Bubba; I still read your last message as very negative. The OP wants to know and understand more about this great breed. You give her the five and dime narrative about buying a female and a stud fee and there you go, be a breeder. Every single puppy mill's method to make money on some one else's effort. This person might be interested in exactly what you describe or might really have a keen interest in the great GSD.

Energy is not the same as drive. As a matter of fact, good working lines should have a fantastic off switch. My dogs can lounge around and do nothing for weeks without getting destructive and then go from 0 to 100 within a second.
I cannot stand energy that has no purpose other than destructive tendencies.
