Please forgive me if this has already been answered but I was wondering if this system is allowing for pedigree updates? I've been sitting on a bunch of dogs I have found over the months that have been missing from some dogs here listed with unknown parentage. I've gone in and updated the pedigrees (a lot of work I might add) but no updates are showing. Must these be approved first or is this site still in failure? Thanks for any information you can provide me. I won't do anymore updates if the the task is futile. Birdy...

On that note, I sent an email a while ago requesting some dogs be entered so I could enter my dogs pedigree from the top down to him, as there are dogs that were not in the database. I have not heard anything back, nor have they been entered as of yet. Is the email address for Oli that is listed at the bottom of the page working, or is there a new email address that I missed? Thanks

Good luck on your updates. I don't know exactly what's going on either, but I have myself tried again for the 1st time in more than a year. I entered data way back, I think 2003, and not only did I watch a couple months and nothing changed, but my e-mail got no reply. I finally looked at this site again in the last month, and see that dogs I wanted entered or somehow corrected, were. But I am not sure they were finally entered due to my efforts - I only tried a couple ancient taproot dogs as a test, which never were updated on my "watch". Now, I see the bitch I originally wanted to enter, the great Flora Berkemeyer - but couldn't cuz most of her own pedigree was not entered, either - is on there as well as most of her pedigree! Only a couple things need to be corrected or purged now. So I have tried to enter those corrections. Of course, there is no way to directly request duplicate dogs be deleted. There are many. Nor do all of the ancient dogs appear in the correction sheet as choices if you need to correct parents - altho they are themselves in the DATABASE. I'll mention this latter, esp. since it seems that, apparently, *Iwo Buschecke and Mery z Pohranicní stráze* were the true father and mother of the breed! Look it up! Not to mention THEIR pedigrees are obviously all messed up! Seems that some1 has been messing around w/the database and making all kinds of bogus pedigrees. Meanwhile, our legitimate pedigree corrections are NOT put in!

the Ol'Line Rebel, I see you tried to fix Fanny's pedigree too. I was trying to this too recently but I couldn't get the information to be updated either. There are a lot of bogus dogs being entered into this system and I make sure I don't take that pedigree for word before checking out other sources first. It's sad, as I know I'd love to fix more pedigrees to make them true. I have even taken some of the really hard to see photos and made them easier to see but they don't get updated either, some of them I've spent hours fixing too. I've given up on Oli to fix the problems, I'm just hoping he will sell this site to someone who will take care of it eventually. Birdy...

Birdy - I thought maybe w/all those ancient dogs at least entered (if not always singly or accurately), things were happening here. Esp. after the last time in Winter/Spring when I tried to visit the site and only got white pages - Cannot Find. I thought maybe after seeing that and that the site is now up, there was a re-vamp going on and things were shaken up and hopping. But maybe I'm wrong and they're still incredibly slow! This is frustrating for me cuz I visit a Thoroughbred site which - even tho the last couple years they made it a fee membership and free people only get so many services now - is fantastic both in readability and in "updateability". The guy who programmed it must've programmed it to automatically update when you request; entries are subject to review LATER. So you're not going to wait months to see changes while he is out on sabbatical. I'm spoiled by this and expect every database to be as great as the TB DB is!
