I think it would benefit some of the newbies for breeders to share their experiences in this area. Many people see a guarantee as a guarantee that their pup won't have and health problems. For those of you who have been breeding for a long time know that if you breed enough litters you are bound to run into genetic faults and health problems through no fault of your own or your breeding program, but is a fact of life. I like the fact that some breeders will fully disclose their health statistics, for example, Ed Frawley comes to mind, I have seen on one of his stud pages that he shares how many pups this sire threw, # of bad hips, # of non erect ears, # of undecended testicles, etc. I wish more breeders would do this, I think it is an example of their honesty. If a breeder has bred more than a handful of litters and they tell you they have had no health problems should they be believed and trusted?

they can be afraid this will be used against them problems arise in every line then everyone starts yelling whoose fault it must be that idea could be both good and bad also consider there are just too many variables the bitch may have no trouble the sire none either but the two together not good right? There is no way to equalize this on a printout each dog is different just IMO. The whole thing on garuntees is reducing the chance it may happen to you and also makes folks think twice about what animals they breed together before offering them with that garantee? If something like this was done others from what I have seen would try to use this against them I think. As all on here say it takes homework and I am thankful to those who said it to me before I went looking.
