As what the subject says... how much do you sell for your puppies? What are the lines of your breedings? What are you trying to improve? I'm taking a break from doing the lawn and house work... thought I would start up a new topic :)

a better question might be: "what kind of guarantees do you offer on your puppies?"

that too :) Im just curious of the price ranges that breeders charges for their puppies :)

Which tend to vary based on the litter, parentage (lineage)? Most probably won't publicly post this because it's like "etching a price in stone" on something that may vary per litter. But maybe there's others out there bored to answer a queston with little logic. JMO

Hmmm-- i think this is the problem with the GSD world !! big time --- ALWAYS , ALWAYS , ALWAYS about money !! [ no one entity singled out here ] - this is what has brought down the breed -- the greed and the politicking !! it has become a hypocrisy !! seeing show line dogs that can't work and working dogs that don't carry the nobleness in figure and form that the standard for -- seeing flawed dogs get Sch 1 and some Sch 3 dogs scared of their own shadow while at the same time some working dogs just too crazed and antisocial -- So i think one might better state : what are the resources needed to produce the GSD , in mind , body and spririt to meet the standard of what the GSD should be -- for all true breeders know it takes time , effort and resources to achieve that goal -- to that end one should be perhaps compensated in direct proportion the attain that goal - i would / and did offer to place some of my pups in the past without a cost knowing that it would be to the betterment of the breed -- would you ??

Old topic, and one you likely already know the answer to.....I hope. For typical pups from titled, well-bred W. German Seiger line dogs, prices typically range from US $1,000 to $2,500. Depending on the parents and the breeder, it is not all that uncommon for the price to go to US$6,000.

$6,000 for a PUPPY!??! my god! What is this world coming to? Lets just hope that puppy has PERFECT set of hips, excellent ratings at OFA and "a" normal with a very low HD ZW number including perfect set of elbows, not to mention excellent temperament and will do excellent in schutzhund and will have great conformation that will make it to the top 10 :)

Yes, Brittany someone will pay $6,000 for a puppy, even a sick puppy and also manage to get over it. And through everything, love it. Even without papers. And unfullfilled guarantees. Go to the the AKC/USC/WDA and try to change the system effectively rather than pose questions to which you know the answer already. This has all been hashed through already and you were there.
