That is fine....lol but my point was even Richard could not put the figure number of his certainty, but I guess you could....lol.

Anyway have to go now, I am bored now.

by vk4gsd on 20 November 2013 - 18:11

not sure what certainty you are talking about cos i don't watch the vids you link to, if it is my certainty re the existence of god then yes i am absolutely certain that your god is a mere politically constructed fabrication and a rather uninventive one at that since from even a pedestrian historical study it is clear that the mythical jesus is an ad-hoc compilation and rip-off of a number of prior messiah stories.

Carlin

I found this guy interesting. I don't present this as "evidence", as the title suggests, and in fact this individual's viewpoint was suggested to me by someone with a viewpoint and worldview very different from my own.  He is a neurosurgeon, the son of another neurosurgeon, with 15 years on staff at Harvard medical center.  His book evidently was a #1 best seller on the NY Times list.

by vk4gsd on 20 November 2013 - 18:11

i am sure it was a best seller, people lap this crap up. the appeal to the authority of science via his qualifications is a great marketting point. in fact so much so to generate a bit of sure cash many a reputable scientist are now writing and publishing books on fringe quasi science in laymen language (no maths and seriously dumbed down) because people buy it. as one guy said he works 15 years alone on a single technical publication and only 3 other specialists in the world will ever see or understand it, he writes a book about god and he is wined an dined and treated like a celebrity and becomes a millionaire rock star. a whole fast growing list of pro scientists now cashing in on this market, kinda sad they gotta lower themselves but money is money i guess and fame is fame, we are all weak.
