AKC requires DNA for breeding not registering, you just have to send DNA in before the first breeding if you want to register the litter. 786 EURO/1022 USD for shipping is a crazy high price. I just got a quote from a breeder friend in Germany and it was 400. Anyhow dood luck.

My shipping costs are 558 euro for a puppy near Hamburg. Costs depends on a couple things, where the dog/puppy is and how it's getting to the airport plus shipping charges which vary depending on destination and crate size. Most dogs in Germany ship out of Frankfurt. If your dog is local and can be dropped off there and the costs are less. If it has to be picked up or go through another airport, the costs are more depending on location.

You are better of finding a good breeder in the states. Otherwise ask for suggestions on finding a trustworthy breeder or broker. Someone like you will be fresh meat trying to import on your own, unless you get lucky and deal with the right people. TAKE YOUR TIME!

Hello! We bought our puppy from an individual breeder in Germany. He is a fanatastic Yoker puppy. First of all, we had to wire the money to the breeder. Once he received the money, he made airline arrangments to Washington, D.C./Dulles. We picked our baby (4 months) up at the Cargo/Customs area; we had to pay $30.00 Customs Fee (cash).
