Well, I told the sales rep. that I will try the "repair" -- however, if it happens again, they will need to make this right. I had stated that I liked the Black over the typical galvanized. The Black does not come in a thicker gauge. However, he "assured" me that his Company installs this all the time for the K9's without any problems (riiiiiight)!

If the repair doesn't work out, maybe I will have a thicker -- 8 or 9 gauge galvanized wrapped over the Black Mesh (from the inside), using the same poles (which are in concrete) -- it would be double fenced. I don't know............I'm just disgusted right now.

RS -- Oh Lordy this dog is costing me some $$$$. Yes, I luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv the new door in the garage....I should have done that years' ago.

Not sure if you have a Tractor Supply close by but they have the 2x4 cattle panels they are 5 ft tall and 20ft long. We used to cut the very bottom wire off and have close to a 4in spike that we would push into the dirt would help with some of the diggers they didn't like that. Probably cheaper than dbl fence and reinforces the area you need strengthened the most. Won't be as nice looking as just the vinyl fence would have looked but you'll never have your dog get out again through the fence.

I feel for ya. Dar would some how bend the rod that the chain link was wrapped around and get out. I thought for sure his teeth were broken after that but they weren't. His daughter at 3mo old figured out how to bust out of the welded wire fencing that was around the enclosure I had for them. At 10 wks old she would climb part of the door of the chain link kennel. I needed something that was built for wolves!! They are opportunists and will figure a way out if they want to get out. Good luck.

This is what we did to the new heat pump. Carly has never destroyed anything ( except a 12 pack of pepsi left outside)
but better safe than sorry.

Anything that uses his energy and his mind will do for a job for your dog. You should put him away after he is good and tired, with proper chew toys, fresh water, etc. Then, do not leave him alone to begin bad habits, until he views his new kennel as his new "safe" place, and not his new "prison".

Guaranteed the next problem you will have is a digger, if you just leave the dog to its own devices.

A very important lesson YR has mentioned: Better to prevent a behavior than have to correct one. Good Luck.
