I understand the disappointment of having/producing dogs that are classified as having HD however you will learn that there is no magic formula or magic wand that will guarantee this will not happen. This dog's sire has a ZW of 84 and his dam's is 78. Should you inquire about his siblings - most likely since sibling depth appears to be a very strong predictor in hip production but that is best done before you breed to a dog. Zulu has a solid "a" normal hip pedigree for 3 generations. Breeding is always a two way street - before you tar Zulu with a very broad brush look what you brought to him , a bitch whose mother(the grandmother of these pups) appears to have no hip clearance at all either in the SV ZW registry or at the OFA www.offa.org. While right now in the OFA registry Zulu and your bitch appear to have a similar production record (about 50/50) I believe an un-xayed grandparent carries more weight in the equation than the missing siblings. Perhaps you need to reflect on what your bitches did to his production record rather than the other way around.
