Thanks again everyone for your comments and suggestions; the feedback is extremely helpful and will certainly help us get her where we want her to be.
For those who asked about her breeding, I am attaching her pedigree and, of course, if you have any thoughts on it please let me know.

Hi Thaya,
Thank you very much for posting her breeding.
She has some excellent showline dogs in her pedigree.
I,d like to see photos of her when she is much bigger I'm
sure she'll look very good.
Best of luck with her( Idon't think she needs it though )If trained well,
she'll bring you much happiness and please keep us posted.
there are many on this board, who are very helpful
and are willing to give good advice be it show or working.

| Nice looking girl. I would say not bad on the stack either. Because of the leash, her topline can't be seen. By holding the leash on a higher angle , it was expose her topline. Also she is leaning forward, obviously something has her attention. If it is someone calling her. Maybe have that person just walk away at a normal speed from her so she doesn't try to pull into the leash. Most working dog owners like to see their dogs pull into the leash, but showline owners want a comfortable relaxed stacked. But I would say you did a very good job at your first try of getting a stack.. GOOD LUCK with her very nice looking girl! | |

It always takes 3 people. First, the camera angle is not correct to assess the dog. The picture should be taken perpendicular to the centerline of the dog. Direct side shot. The front is positioned a little east/west. Look at the left foot. It angles out. The legs should be straight under the dog and perpendicular to the ground. There should be a line that can pass from the ground, straight up through the legs, elbow, and shoulder. Rear leg towards the camera is awkward. Difficult to say exactly from the angle, it looks too far streatched with the hock angled in. Hock should be perpendicular to the ground. Inside leg is a little too far back. Not as easy as it seems is it? |

Rather than the 300 shots, I now use a digital video recorder and sift through the frames for the best one.

Taking GOOD pics really requires a team.
A very patient team.
Usually by the end of the session, someone is yelling
at someone else because they just couldn't get it right
And the dog? well, the dog usually stacks itself totally
perfect once you put the camera up.

Cute puppy! I loved her pedigree page head shot, oh those ears! Stacking is best done with several people, more than 3, with the idea that you are out to have a good time, taking frequent breaks & having lots of play time & refreshment breaks for the humans, too, so no-one gets frustrated. You may get a nice picture, LOL! I had better luck with natural stacks that I just happened to have my camera in hand for...LOL! Good luck, & enjoy your pretty girl. jackie harris
