3 of my males were built up about defense drive, it you know how to do it, prey drive will kick in later.
It´s a lot of responsibility against dog, helper, and society, and it´s not the easiest way of training, but I love the result.

I currently have dog with high defense and much less prey, bomb proof nerves.....waited until 16 months before during any bitework....grips are full and dog bites HARD!  He's only 23 months and working on channeling into prey, while on bite, pushes into the bite. But I work with trainer that is an artist with working dogs in defense. I have 4/5 police depts salivating to get him....he didn't get the memo that said his lack of prey was detrimental to being top working dog...lol ( he also is very approachable when in off mode)
