Sue B

Hi Steve1
Having looked back in my records during the period of 1978 to 1987 (you did say early 80's), there is no male belonging to anyone called  Robert Venus occupying any of the VA positions during that time. So he either acquired the dog after it had won or he was telling porkies. Or perhaps your memory serves you wrong and the dog was not a German VA titled but had done his winning elsewhere, solely in Belgium perhaps?
The only Belgium owned German VA titled male I did find during that period was in Munchen 1978 a male called Zolli v.d. Zuchtspitz owned and bred by a Jacky Bergs of Schaffen/Belgium. What's more interesting in contrast to only 6 VA females at that show, it appears there were a grand total of 18 males were awarded VA in that year (Zolli making VA17), this was also the first year that the Sieger Title was re-instated since Dick Adeloga in 1973 ('74 - '77 no Sieger title was given).
Hence since this Mr R Venus was not registered as owning a Sieger or a VA male during that time, it would be impossible for anyone to tell you it;s name!!!

Hi Sidhimelkel, well put !!

Hi Jimh, fYI Natan v.d. Pelztierfarm was bred and owned by Walter Jedamzik of St.Leon-Rot, Germany - took double Sieger titles in Mannheim 1981 and Munchen '82.

Best Regards
Sue

SueB
Thank you,He did not win the titles himself  with this Dog i believe he bought the Dog in so yes, it may be difficult to find out, but what i was saying is that people in the show world would know about the movement of such a Dog, just the same as  the working line people know that the great Zidane moved from Belgium to the USA, that is what my meaning was,

SueB it seems that you are the one who put the piece in about Zamp, so now you are not liking it when some of say things which are not full of praise, you cannot praise anything that you do not know about
I have recently wrote a book on my life in the pigeon sport, it will not be recieved with acclaim by everyone who reads it, some will say Yes, that is good i can learn something from it, other will say, what a load of ---------
that is there opinion and that is life. i think it is good but the readers are the only ones to say
Steve

Sidhimelkel
Yes, you are 100% right in what you say
I said i did not know of this Dog but i said he was a fine looking fellow, Now the showline people cannot seem to accept that not everyone is interested in there sort of Shepherd, meaning show lines, but  seem indignant if we do not know about there sport, or whatever they call it
They are a touchy lot of people in my opinion and if that is right then i for one do not want to mix with people who think they are the only ones that count, To me that is snobbery and i want none of it,
All i am interested in is a well balanced Dog, who looks to me for his needs and also as a pal, who will work willingly for me in return i give him the attention and friendship that dogs crave for from a human being, in other words we rely on each other other than that i am not at all bothered about much else with the dogs

hi steve1 then your last statement applies to yourself read it again and you will see how
I said i did not know of this Dog but i said he was a fine looking fellow, Now the showline people cannot seem to accept that not everyone is interested in there sort of Shepherd, meaning show lines, but  seem indignant if we do not know about there sport, or whatever they call it

Steve

so steve you must realise that not everyone is interested in the type of dog that you like some like to show some like to work and 99% of owners like a pet so does that make you a snob too  or must we only be interested in what you like.

sueb thanks i was not sure who owned natan but new he was sold after he was downgraded to VA3

Steve1
What is wrong with you? If anyone is being touchy it is YOU!  At NO time have I criticised YOU or ANYTHING you have said. If you think I have then Please highlight it in your next post !!  Indeed , at NO TIME have I said ANYTHING DEROGATORY to ANYONE on this particular thread. YES IT IS MY ARTICLE, but I am not that vain that I expect everyone who reads it to LIKE IT !!     HOWEVER, what I HAVE said here is quote A great man once said , "If you have nothing good to say about someone, best not to say anything at all"  Perhaps if we all related that to "If you have nothing good to say about someones Dog then best not to say anything at all" we would all get on a little better. and I mentioned  the names of the two entities that was aimed at and neither were YOU. But if they or you find that to be Touchy critism on my part then YOU really DO have a BIG PROBLEM !!  With tongue in cheek I will now direct you to the PS given by ecs further up this thread, his presumption may not be right ALL of the time, but on this occasion IT IS !! And just in case you presume I make this statement because I am too far up my own a*se then your wrong again, the reason I know I will win is simply because everything I have said here IS TRUE and all the world and his dog only have to be able to read and understand written English to verify it.

So Steve1 please dont make me angry, 'cos YOU wont like me when I'm angry, even I dont' like me when I'm angry!.

Regards

Oh dear i am frightened, You really have as we say in England got your knickers in a twist, that is a saying when someone loses there temper,
Sorry Sue B but  no one scares me, and certainly will not with words, We all read what we read and you are no different than i am, I have come to the conclusion that the Show line people cannot take any thing from others unless it is to side there way and it is to do with what they believe in that is my honest opinion,
NOW i have said it several times already and this is the last time i will say it, the Dog is a fine animal BUT i am not interested in Showline Dogs period, you can lose your temper Sue B as much as you like it does nothing for me or does it phase me
You would  have curled up in a ball and been a wreck if you saw some of the sights i have seen in my life time and you think me bothered if you get angry,
But then being a Guy i have more control of my self and i can laugh at your post, No point in continuing with this thread the sooner it goes off the page the better for all it has had more coverage than is warranted

SueB and JimH excellent posts. Steve your last reply to me was,yes we should let it go, why are you still going on then? You also say "you cannot praise anything you do not know about", well you should not down anything you do not know about. Now before you start karati chopping me i am not saying you said anything negative about ZAMP or the article, but you seem to be very negative of show people!!! We are as dedicated as anyone in what we do, for someone who is not turning this into W/L v S/L you seem to be making a lot of negative comments about show folks and show lines. You also said you did not care what lines one had or what sport one chooses to do, niether do i or most on here, but you still IMO are knocking us. Why? We are NOT the touchy ones here, and i am sorry to say but it is your W/L folks that think they are " the only ones that count. I am sorry to those who do not think like that, but it is certainly the way some come across. I love the GERMAN SHEPHERD as a breed, i admire an excellent specimen be it work/show, whatever, i thought we all did, how silly of me, i was wrong!!!!!!!!  liz

LIZ: Steve1 has always been a male chauvinist, so don't take it too hard! And an absolute dour puss, (for my tastes), and yet,  I never allow his peculiarities to shade his worth into that of a lesser human being.  It's pretty much his way, or no way! LOL Touchy is as touchy does!

Best wishes on the success of your "my life in the pigeon sport" book. I trust you have a good English editor, Steve? ....Of course I don't really expect you to answer! LOL

Hey Liz you little Munky and Funky friend, kudos girl!!!

Beetree LOL's I second that!!. Whenever I read Steve1 answere's to me I doubt my own sanity..lol  Did I accuse him of something to get him all touchy and uppity, so back I go back to re-read my last post then the one before that and before that and so on and so on  but I can't find one where I accused him of saying bad things about Zamp nor one where I became all 'Touchy' with him, yet post after dreary post he still continues on in the same vein. So I now thank you Beetree for your enlightening insight into this person and I can now revert into putting my cool, sane head back on!!

All the best
Sue
