Two Moons

by Two Moons on 02 April 2009 - 17:04

Sunsilver,
I understand their attachment silly as it seems.
My son had to have pictures of my old ford truck the day we sent it to the scrap yard...lol

But its time had come and the price was up...lol

This old four wheeler was his, one hell of a truck in its day.
We're waiting for prices to go up once again..

A car or truck can hold many fond memories.

Anyone looking for a fixer upper?
Cheap !!!   LOL

I love the coup,
I tried to blow up the Chevy picture for a better look , didn't help much.  Its not a super sport is it.
Clean , sharp, looking tho.
Do they, or have they ever attended the Frog Follies in Evansville indiana?

by angusmom on 03 April 2009 - 01:04

it's a super sport , a 2 door coupe with reworked powerglide , 409 clutches, factory air, vacuum trunk opener, 300 horse, 327 cubic inch motor and tilt wheels. if i have put commas in the wrong places, sorry - i don't have a clue what all this means. i called daddy and, he told me all this while i was trying to write it down. car nuts!  they pretty much stay in southern calif.

well moon's son can just come right on out west - no age issues there, plus here's my ride. well it was until recently - had to trade it out for something the dogs could actually fit in... So see? perfect fit ; )

Here's the car my dad was driving when he met my mom. It's a 1938 Model A Ford. I think his mode of transportation prior to that had 4 legs...he drove a horse and buggy to high school!

Angusmom,
Tell me it has the console shifter...:)
I couldn't see the SS insignia in the picture is why I asked.

Mystee,
My son's looking to go back to school if he can find some funding and get some specialized training.  I don't know what he wants to go into but its not following dad in the building trades.
He'd probably love a visit if he ever gets his act together.

Sunsilver,
Thats a wondeful old photo,
there's just something about it.
Maybe its the realism , I dunno,   I just really like it.

I have some old horse and buggy pictures but again I'll have to find the time to get some things scanned.
My brother kept most of the really old family pictures from three generations of my family after my moms death.  We always plan to get together and scan them but it hasn't happened yet.
Modern photography just doesn't have that same feeling.

i just got in from doggie drill team practice (we're performing on sat) and its too late to call my dad, but my husband says "yes, it has the console shifter". i just don't pay that much attention i'm embarrassed to say.
