mystery ,I am aware the breed  once referred to as the Belgium shepherd are and still are in most countries recognized as one breed. Yes even the beloved  Mali's are of the same breed as the terv the laekenois and the black. The coats and color  being the only difference .I must admit you had me second guessing myself with the  non-sequitor reference .Really I will trust my knowledge of these things more in the future. It is the AKC that split the breed as per coat and color.I doubt that will happen with our German Shepherds. So every one needs to except the fact that the long stock hair is,was and always will be a German shepherd.sunic as I said before the malinois over the years have been  carefully bred to acquire the attitude they exhibit today.I'm sure if you search the fields of Belgium you will find many malis working farms  the way they were  originally bred too..

Wassup,

No one has exhibited any issues with accepting (I assume that is the word you intended) longhairs as gsds. That isn't even an issue.

I have a beautiful long coated show line female that I have been waiting for the chance to get a breed survey on.  I plan to have her spayed, so would like to have this done this spring/summer if possible.  Any idea if this will be in place by this summer??  I have been told by some she is borderline, so not sure if it would be possible to have her surveyed in normal class or better to wait and have her done as a long coat.

Here is a picture.  What do you think, better to wait for the LC class or give it a shot now?

I make typos, but I never F--up the entire word.  EXcept is an entirely different word than ACcept and you use it the same way consistently.  That is not typo- that is not knowing how to spell the word.  Now, you do.

The topic was about the LH being accepted back into the registry by the SV.  Not about fault--it is about process.

enofa,

Go for it!  What do you have to lose, other than a bit of time and a relatively small amount of money?     She is a lovely bitch.  I would suggest, though,  taking her to a show/survey beforehand and asking the koermeister's opinion of how "close" she is.
