Hi Diane:
Well, I sought out white. After a lot of anecdotal "the best dog I ever had was a white shepherd" - from people - followed by much research, I purposefully chose the white over the colors. I was looking for temperament more than anything else - and I got what I was looking for. I couldn't even tell you the pedigree - the papers are still in the envelope they came in - I don't care. .

I got these directions from Crys, (thanks Crys). Worked for me. Good luck.
To post an avatar pic, you'll need to be logged on to the database, and look on the left side of the page. There's a whole bunch of different things on that side that relate to your account on the database. Go down to the Control Box section and click on Edit Profile. The screen that comes up shows your profile, and give you options to change it. At the bottom, it says USER LOGO. If you don't have one, this area will be blank. There's an option there, underlined, that says "Change or Submit New User Logo. Click there. This will bring up a change logo page. The top section is to upload a picture, and there's a line where you can either type in the image, if you know exactly where it is in your computer, or you can click the Browse button, which will bring your My Pictures folders. CHoose the pic you want and click OPEN. When the desired picture's directory address shows in the Upload Image line, click Submit image, and it will load the picture as your avatar. It should show up automatically on all the posts you've put up, and on any you post in the future. The procedure is the same to change the picture or delete it.

Luvdemdogs: I got a question for you - on downloading - sometimes mypictures loads and then sometimes I get a small box with a x in it - did it the same way each time - but not always will it load the picture - what am I doing wrong..

Thank everyone for the input. Luv I think it is great, I have nothing agaisnt white german shepherds. I to don't a thing about my two german shepherds pedigrees, but they are great dogs and I love them very much I knew both of them have white german shepherds in the line, lots of them actually. I think they are all beautiful, and don't judge by color, personality is what makes a good dog in any breed! Your white puppy is too cute, I don't think I have ever seen a puppy I didn't think was cute...=+} I like your profile pic as well.
