Call me ignorant, ive stopped caring! This pup is disgusting, the owner shoudl take right desicion and neuter him(so he cant pass on his excessive rear angulation) just like i spayed my showline bitch! KcZaja, believe me, ive seen pups like this one move and the movement is terrible. Sorry if my statement offends you.

None of us have the perfect dog, but we could atleast TRY to rid the sholwine of excessive rear angulation and abnormal toplines.

Call me ignorant, i dont care!

Im off, have a nice day folks!

Why did you have your bitch spayed? It couldn't have been because of her excessive rear angulation, as I recall she is rather lacking in that department.  You also said that she had over the top drives ( a WL in a SL body you said.) So what was the reason, I can't  recall. Was it that she just wasn't show potential?  You are now looking for a WL, but if your bitch has"over the top" drives, why dont you put them to good use and work her, instead of getting a WL.?? Just curious, that's all.

Um Brady Bee, inspite of her being VG2(under a judge who has over 40 years of experience), i spayed her. I think showlines(except a few) arent worth being bred from! WL are the worth of being called 'German Shepherds'. Although her drives are tremendous, she will remain as a family pet, sleeping in my arms at night! :) Dont get me wrong, ill treat my WL equally good because i love dogs!

I want to get a WL because i want too. Im in love with the WL's.

This my last post. I think ill the thread alone! :)

Well the showline defence comes out in droves.  You people amaze me.  You would defend any showline dog, no matter what  horrid shape it was in, shame on all of you.

The pup in that pic, yes the stance in horrid, but it is definitely too angulated and roached backed to begin with.  Stacking is to show the angulation.

My first and best dog ever, was a showline, he had a confident dominant temperment, nothing fazed him, and he is what I condsider a GSD very close to what Max was envisioning.
His Great Grandfather on the dam's side was Uran vom Wildsteiger Land and Fanto, and on the fathersside  (who is actually American Showline (gasp!) were dogs such as Nike Clayfield Andretti and Darby Dan's Just Follow Me.

SO  I am not anti-showline, but I am anti extreme angulation and roached backs, and whatever the next fad may be at the GSD's expense!

These  are some pictures of my showline.  He is now gone but greatly missed.

Have to correct you there Red Sable, most show line dog owners DO NOT DEFEND ANY DOG. I do not defend any American showlines i have seen, i do not defend any Alsatians(uk) i have seen, and i certainly would NOT defend any other dog from whatever lines that were not in line with the breed standard. This puppy that all you ignorant people are slagging is just that A PUPPY, Videx has explained quite correctly this is a picture, and a bad handler posing the puppy. How anyone, and i do not care what type you like, can't see the quality of this pup is beyond me, and i would just like to add, I THINK YOU ALL "SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SPEC SAVERS"  liz

Quality pup, love the breeding. Would take this pup home anyday. Red sable, I think your dog is one good looking dog too, love the head. Horses for courses eh? Artistian? You have more sides than a 50 pence, thats seven for you non Brits! Make your flipping mind up, and either put up, or shut up!!!!!! Not so long ago you were working hard to ingratiate yourself with show line folk, and now, you have done a complete about face, sniffing working line peoples butts instead. You obviously dont have the courage of your convictions, and even less actual knowledge of the GSD. You arent articulate enough to try and wind the likes of Liz or myself up, so you have to resort to vile language and name calling. When you care to withdraw your head from your back passage, do some reading, observe a little more at shows and working trials, and then comment on what is correct and incorrect, constructively, and with some back up. JMHO Jane
