Very Cool!  I'm glad I miss read previously on it.  Thanks for letting me know.    Everywhere there are GSD's should have Schutzhund.

Yes, but, unless I am mistaken, Dublin banned, or tried to ban, gsds. That means it is OFF my list for a visit.:-) I will go to Galway, instead!!

I think all Shepherds in Southern Ireland have to be muzzled.  Someone will know for sure?

From what i gather the showline walk is all about the side gait .Well leave the gait open and maybe they can walk thier way out that side of the gait. That could be some work.  (c'mon now jean)
If I'm not mistaken, I think these are both a couple of showlinedogs that seem to have WORKED themselves, right onto the cover of this magazine!(thanks YR for the cover).

All winners (VA1) of the sieger shows make the cover, doesn't really mean they can actually WORK or do WORK at trials. we seen this so often at the Sieger shows.

I guess it´sdepending to what people refer to as "work" if a dog is a good workingdog. The level required to obtain a SCH3 is nothing compared to what a good PSD are supposed to do, they may be required to track for 5-6 hours and tangle with a dangerous suspect at the end of the track. So basically, showdogs with SCH-titles doesn´t tell you so much about the real workingability of the dog, even if many claim their dogs are good workingdogs due to this.

There are Schutzhund clubs in Australia but the German Shepherd Leauge who organise shows for Australian titles, don't recognise or support Schutzhund. If they can trot around the show ring and don't try to bite the judges, that's all it is!!!. Champion Australian show dogs and their offspring which is sought after, can often work no harder than chasing a ball on an odd occasion???. Temperament of the ideal GSD according to many Australian breeders is a quiet driveless dog that more resembles the temperament of a Labradore???.

Now keep your lid on kitkat it was a joke and a good one I thought.Did you see some of the dogs in the clip try to walk?I bet not.As they could hardly walk into the ring let alone get out the gate.I doubt you kitkat will ever breed to that extreme. If you do I will have to ask you WTF did you do ? So now we can agree to disagree but you must never breed  hock walking LAME ass dogs like were in the clip of the dogs in the UK show. You know what kind of show dogs I was talking about !! I STAND BY MY CLAIM THEY WERE SHT.

 Hey Rexy,

Are you a member of the schutzhund organizaton in Australia, and if so, do you subscribe to the magazine.  I'd love to buy a past issue from you, if you have it.  It is a cover shot of a sable male , Yuri v. Lindesfarne, in the ari on the catch in the courage test.  It is from a few years ago.

Gustav,
Don't confuse kkl with concern for the structure of the dog. Kkl is a breeding title. In europe if a dog isn't kkl it cant be used for breeding by the SV.  Those kkl is the same as the bare minimum you see show dogs bite. just enough to pass the SV rules. A dog must  be shown at least once to get the KKL rating.Working people won't breed to a beautiful working dog if the drives aren't right. Just as the same show people would breed to a top working show dog if the conformation isn't right.  Working continue to show and train their dogs. There was a dog on WUSV team this yr that is dysplastic in the hips. That dog would never be in the show ring nor could it continue to be shown. Again don't confuse what is a required to breed with concern for structure in the breed.  It was also suggested that we mix in malinos into the bloodline to improve working drives that have been lost. how is that concern for the structure of the dogs.
