Kalibeck

Very cool, my girl's bowels had swollen & begun to leak fluid into the gut, the next step would have been rupture; but we caught it & she was saved, thank God! Yep, they chew & swallow anything! It's amazing to me that they can eat the most amazing things, & be okay, & yet the littlest thing can cause trouble. My friends GSD ate an entire men's shirt, buttons & all, and managed to pass it through, whole, in his stool, & was just fine. Go figure. Good luck with Ando, & nice save.  You did right by your dog. jackie harris

Wow, so glad this story ends well! And your experience teaches so many lessons for us all. My dog loves to shred dog toys, especially fabric, I can't buy stuffed toys at all. And it is good to have learned what to look for regarding obstruction symptoms and that means RUSH to your vet, it is an emergency.

Your holidays are sure to be merry and bright, especially now!

Glad its taken care of.

Puppys are worst than kids about putting things in their mouth, at least pennies will pass...LOL

We went thru that once...

Give Ando a big hug for me and tell him he already has enough fiber in his diet, he doesn't need to eat textiles, lol.

So glad things turned out well for you.

Good of you acting so quickly.

I too can have nothing "chewable" around my girl.

Ando was quite upset when i told him he couldn't eat anymore textiles, and He is doing well, we get to bring him home today.  I guess he get's not more "squeeks" which by the way are his favorite.
