Funny thread - but actually you don't pronounce the t in Shi Tzu-it's silent.

The ugliest dog i've ever seen was a German Shepherd-Pug mix, it looked exactly like a GSD only shorter but had the face of a Pug.

It was disgusting!

When I was growing up, I had a dog that best guess was a whippet crossed with one or several types of terriers. It was by far the ugliest dog I have ever owned. Her name was Ugly #2.(Twoee we called her) We had an Ugly #1 before her.

She was a great dog. She was a hunting fool. I had a beagle the same time I had her. I used to take them down to the river everyday during the summer.  My beagle would run anything he came accross and that Twoee would catch it. She would snatch feral cats and possum 6-7 feet up a tree. She snatched a seagull in mid-flight. She was fast as lightning and could jump 7-8 feet no problem.

I loved that dog but god was she ugly with a capital U.

Sweet memories of an ugly dog..get a real dog.Any one else care to share their  youth experiences with any dog they had at that time?

The best way I could describer her was a cross between a whippet and a piece of steel wool.

Handsomest dog I ever saw (that wasn't a GSD) was 1/2 Dane and 1/2 Rodesian Ridgeback... had the size of a dane, slate grey, but more of the Ridgeback build, beautiful noble head and a real "cool" about him.

In my years of breeding I did have one OOPS... (split heat caught me by surprise) and I ended up with 1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 Akita... amazing dogs and the folks who adopted them bugged me for the next 5 years cause they wanted another, or their friends/family wanted one.  Worse part was it was my Champion Akita bitch (fiinished with 4 back to back majors in 2 weekends *sigh*) but she just grinned and said "Oh well... lol"

Don't fret , Uglydog,        If someone had started this about you  , Yellowrose would have been right drop dead     in the middle and you can count on that...

Enjoyed getting to talk to you this week.   A very nice , brilliant family man        with care and kind manners. His wife  has a gem.

Anyway I am going to call the Whippet/Bedlington Terrier cross a BED WHIP because that sounds very interesting to me!!!!!!!
