Then, do another Google search for the Hunte Corporation and put the two together. BTW, Hunte has a classified ad on this site!!

Sure you can email me. MelissaCato@hotmail.com (I don't like talking smack about people, you should concider contacting the Dept with all your related questions) It's been a while since I've been to their Kennel, I know they started a grooming business a bit ago... I've never seen them on the internet though... how I found them was in the Patriot News with add's posted in the classifieds. Maybe I'll call them today and have a chat. I did hear through the grape vine that Paradise Island Pets in Lebanon County was purchasing from them... so they didn't change their "type" of Clientele.

Nope, I dont like talking smack on a public forum either. That was not the purpose of this post. I had one of their puppy buyers that wanted me to look at the pup and was interested in joining the schutzhund club I train at. The pup was very social and loved to play. Beautiful pup. It wasnt a low rider like some of the american lines. He said that one of the other dogs in the kennel was a czech import. It did seem to have some working lines as far as structure goes. I am mainly curious about the lines. The one thing I questioned was that the guy said that they sold two of the pup out of the litter at 8 weeks to police officers to be police dogs. We all know that does not make sense. I dont know any k-9 officers who would even think of buying a puppy for a police dog since you have NO idea what the puppy will turn out to be. You have peeked my interest..so expect an email.

Some departments in the Norhtwest have puppy programs, both in the US and Canada.

Our local Allentown PA newspaper has a link that gives the state inspection results for every licensed kennel in the saste, by county. Jo Donn is listed twice. They passed last time, but it looks like they may have had to close down the previous kennel. Here is the link: http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-b4_5bennettmar23,0,5402786.story Shelley

I know it has been a long time since this topic was talked about. You all need to get your facts straight.  I personally have a male dog from this breeder. My dogs father is a working K-9 police officer and so is his grand father. And yes I have proof. Also, I have been to the kennel a dozen or more times and have NEVER seen one animal in terrible condition. Nor have we seen the kennel area a wreck. His animals are VERY well taken cared of. You cant go by hear say because there is a lot of that going on. And yes 2 of his pups were sold to police officers to live with the families till they were old enough for the training. ITS CALLED BONDING.

I would certainly recommend Jo-Don kennels to anyone. My dog is chech and german bred and he does know the blood lines but if you know anything about these dogs you know you can barely pronounce the names... THERE GERMAN.

As far as the topic of puppy mill...I dont consider each dog having their own run a problem. Nor getting out with each other to run in a 2 acre property ... puppy mill practice either. The dogs are very social and very clean.

And yes I would buy another dog off of him.

I'm not far from Beaver, PA and I never heard of them or anyone around with GSD's speak the name.  Couldn't tell ya if they were good or bad or what they have.
