Nope, just blackfly and mosquito bites! 

You don't want to get too close to me at this time of year: the smell of the super-duper 99% -active-ingredients-that-melt-plastic-Muskol Insect Repellent that I wear  keeps everyone at arm's length, or at least upwind.

This week, deerfly season seems to be starting, so I'll be adding citronella to the mix!

This, plus a dash of wood smoke, is what passes for perfume in the Near North. My late husband said it made a good people repellent, especially when he tried to kiss me, and got it on his mouth!

I'm kind of glad the tracking course wraps up next week, so I won't have to be out in the field so much, getting bitten by all the bugs!
