Thanks everyone who has posted me here and PM. It was great hearing from all of you :) I now need to do some road work with her to keep her going for the next show. Hopefully we can bring home her Championship like her father!

Thanks Again

Yes, the biggest thing is the kids are learning and enjoying themselves.  But we're also promoting a sound-minded nice looking GSD also. Yes, thank you to you all who have congratulated the kids publically and privately. We really appreciate it and strive to do well.

Yes, Ek, you're right. Brandon has babied Py since we whelped him right here, so Py has pretty much been 'his' dog all along (I put Brandon on his UKC papers as co-owner after he successfully showed him the first time in Aug 2008). I am thrilled to see he's doing so well with his boy-almost UCH in 7 months (we don't have UKC shows offered regularly in these parts-this one this past week-end was the club's 2nd UKC shows since their 1st ones held Aug 2008) . Bub and Py have a very special relationship even our GSD club members notice-Py works for Bub and they look wonderful together. And, Bub gets a cut of stud fees when we use him for stud, even with my own girls. Lol. Since Bub shows Py, I feel its fair. I'm just thrilled to see them out there working hard and learning. It's good for our dog-future, too, to have kids learning about the dogs, their care, etc.

Amen to that Katjo! I feel too many children do not get to learn the right way to raise an animal. My children have all been brought up with the animals- lizzards, ferrets, mice, cats, and dogs. My son learned early on that having a animal is a lot of responsiblity and chooses not to own one (he is 16yr)  my  oldest daughter is 15 and has 1.5 dogs :) one is hers and one we share, she has two cats and has a job walking a dog 6 days a week. She is apart of our training group as the JR trainer  and helps the new Jrs. She also handles for 4 different clients/dog. My youngest daughter just took my new puppy "Zoe" and has been training her (wants to be like big sis) so now she is crate training and getting involved in the group.

I have to say it is nice as we share the dog chores :) although the bills are still mine :(

Yup-people think doing this stuff is just a piece of cake...not necessarily so! But its worth the time and effort. My kids help with feeding & watering but I do kennel clean-up; we share bathing, grooming, nail grinding, etc. Brandon is asking me now about what it takes to prepare to take prep & take his Pyro into the AKC ring for Rally-I am thrilled he's asking of his own accord.

For a Czech dog, Ek, your sable girl DOES look pretty sharp in your pics-very nice! :o)) I'm not a big fan of sable personally, but I can appreciate a nice one when I see one. I've got a sable Czech import lined up for some fall breedings. How is she on manners/activeness outside of training-is she alot of dog to handle like people say is typical of Czech dogs? Just curious. Very well done, Ek, and I'm glad you brought up the topic!  Best wishes on finishing your lovely girl!

Katjo  the lines I have take longer to come in to thier own, but when they do they are very strong. My girl shown here is crossed trained as a PPD and not equipement depended. As far as living with them it is a breeze all my children can handle them and work them in obedience (older daughter can work them in protection work and do call offs and everything). Not handler aggressive at all. The only problem I have is they are a little soft on temperament and take it personally when corrected. BUt I have found letting the age a little longer and lots of toys and treats are the key. Below is my female working a week before show.

Decoyer got to close doing civil and she got a live bite.
