I, too, must have missed something. I searched Steve's posts, and couldn't find anything. Can anyone fill us in?

She had an accident in the garden, I think Steve1 said she had a kneck injury and was put down.  sorry steve1, I didn't know if you want to say or not.

Steve, don't feel guilty.  I got Drake the day Link was put down, didn't mean to.  Went to put a deposit down and came home with a pup!  He helped me love again!  He licked my tears and brought the first smile to my face.  I knew he was not Link and watched him grow into himself.  There's more room in your heart than you think, she'll be in good company.

Congratulations!   Can't wait to see baby pictures!

Ooohhh!  So sorry to hear it.  Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.  A horrible tragedy indeed!  My heart bleeds for you.  Don't feel guilty about getting a new pup.  It's all that saved my sanity after we had to put down our beloved Airin.  Good luck with your new baby.  Eight weeks will be an eternity! But happier days are coming!

yea! good for you steve i for one am glad you chose not to wait very long, pups & dogs are so healing - no better way to get over this sad event.  it's no doubt it's utterly devasting to lose any dog but a little one is particularly hard but it does happen.  heidi will always be part of who you are but a new pup will help you focus on the happy memories you have of her and help you let the sad one fade.

my dh bought me a pup for my 50th b-day/15th wed anniversary, which will be later this year, and we'll be picking him up next tuesday! here's a couple of the lastest picts - he's 6 wks his name is jeppah van meerhout and it's a repeat breeding so has the same ped as this dog http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/545061.html
what's your new pup's ped? any names picked out yet? don't you just love puppy picts? i for one can never get enough
