The weight bearing bones are the leg bones. So I'll feed my dog beef ribs or shoulders, but will not feed the legs. Like I said, some people do feed dense marrow bones and have never had a problem...but why take the chance?

Thank you wdozieor for a kind word about my dogs. You asked for it - here is a picture of the whole menagerie doing a 'down-stay' exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow all the dogs here look amazing, I hope my baby grows up to look as good as all the pictures posted. Back to the bones, so knuckle bones are good as chewing things, are you talking about the knucle bones from pet stores (ie petsmart, petco, etc) or from the butcher? I want to make sure before I walk into the grocier and say "hi can I have a knuckle bone"...lol.. they already look at me crazy because I feed my dog raw food.

msdraglox - thanx - I feed knuckle bones from the butcher cut through the head or knuckle to expose the marrow and sized depending on the dogs and then frozen hard so they take a long time enjoying it.
