Also, be sure to check for local licensing and code regulations. In some areas, no new kenel licenses are issued ever, and grandfathering can be a bear, if possible at all. Also, check for pending legislation and evaluate the potential impact. Find out the claim history by and against the current owner. ...and as Hodie indicated, remember the economic times we are living in, now. People are putting off purchasing new vehicles, sales in once prime real estate markets are down and prices are down in the double digit percentages.

All areas are accounted for Mystere, I am well known by the Town Officials and they are more than willing to comply with me and the kennel.. And your so right with economy being down it might not be a good dicision.. Baldursmom the kennel is in Essex Ontario

Had a long night thinking and have decided not to purchase the kennel.. I'm getting up in age and the last thing I need to do is bury myself deep in losses and of course over baring situations.. Time to enjoy peaceful living with my hubby and the dogs I already own.. thanks everyone for assisting.. It goes well appreciated..

I cannot even contemplate caring for 37 dogs of my own, let alone someone elses. I did rescue for 2 years almost before burning out. Bad enough my 2 dogs already keep me local, no vacations, no leaving home for more than 1 night. Screw that. I'll never have more than 4-5 dogs. Having only 2 right now feels weird and too easy, thank goodness I have a pup pup on the way.

The most dogs I ever cared for was 22 + 3 litters. I had at least one person helping me full time and one part time and it was still a lot of work. Location/supply & demand is everything in the boarding kennel biz. I know people turning dogs away some places, others darned near empty except holidays and high season.
If I had a 37 run kennel I'd probably turn it into an 18 run kennel and give my dogs twice the room.

We got in trouble on my 9th, I had a birthday party sleep over for my friends and they could bring their dogs. Only the sleepover was a week after my birthday, while my parents were on vacation and my pappy was the only one home. We surprised him with the details, this was by brothers idea by the way. RIP Bro.
The trail in the valley leads to the Appalation Trail .. well we told pappy we were going to the valley to set up camp, eat and play with the dogs. Come home before dark kinda thing .. LOL  Well to make a very strange and long story short ... we had the State Police in the sky, hound dogs, police, police, police every where by the time pappy, bless his heart, came rolling up the trail on my dads john deere. I have never to this day ever seen him make the same image of face. HaHaHa
I remember right away the police were gonna take him to jail, but when they found out just how far we were from home ... all in all they shook his hand in the end. But of course we all, including the dogs, were escorted back to the house and thanks god it wasn't in the paper. Mom and dad would have freaked out.

But anyhooo, I have a phobia of more than like 14 dogs and 10 kids in the same area ... especially with no adult far from home. Nowadays, everyone would freak out. LOL

Tooo Funny !!!!
