Peggy,
That is a great food, have a male that has digestive issues and he is doing great on TOTW High Prarie and I have a new pup and I mix TOTW with Chick Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul for the right nutrients and all the dogs are doing so much better. Pit Bull actually has a soft coat, not prickly.
I noticed that HAILEY feeds your pups this? Do you supplement with anything? How old are pups and how are they doing? I thought I read that you needed more calcium then this food provides?
The website says ALL Life Stages, but I feel better feeding CSfPLS to him mixed with TOTW.
I get TOTW 30# for $38.50 and CSFPLS for $33.99 for 35# at local per supply store plus tax. Reasonable prices.
Any suggestions?

"Thank you all. Molly it was the protein leavel i was worried about for a young do, (1+) as the protein is 32% compaired to Fromm at 23% (I believe)."

I have my, not quite 2 year old on the TOW Salmon until she turns 2. It is only 25% Protein. She has had a couple of bouts with Pano, so that's why I am being careful with the protein. I will switch her over to the Bison/Venison soon. My 6 year old is on the Bison and is doing great. Great price too. They have been on it since Aug or so.

4pack - you're lucky to have found Orijen at a better price than TOTW. It's just the opposite here. I pay about $50 for a 30 lb bag of TOTW. Orijen is pushing almost $70 (with tax).
I just recently switched to TOTW from EVO so I can't comment. The verdict is still out. I was looking for a lower protein food as well as a different protein source other than chicken. I feed the TOTW Pacific Stream Canine Formula.

Orijen was $47 a bag, bumped up to $50 a bag when gas was high. Crazy I can get it cheaper than EVO, TOTW and a handfull of other "high" quality foods. The pet store I get it from doesn't mark it up to make a profit because they believe, EVERYONE should be able to afford to feed their dog quality food. I just hope they keep feeling that way.

TOTW is cheaper than Orijen - don't know why your store was marking the TOTW up so much - it's wholesale is $35 or so (what I pay as I buy dogfood in bulk), can get it in the stores anywhere for $40 or even a little less. For 30#. The protein levels are reasonable for no-grain food - I won't feed my dogs 42-45% protein, which is what the cats need, not dogs. Orijen, EVO and all other no-grain foods are too pricey, and too high protein IMO.

2 differnt stores for me. Neither store sells poth products. I search every store in town each time I switch foods because nobody carries it all. When I fed DVP's Natural Balance, I can only find it at PetCo.

I have been feeding Chicken Soup for several years and my dogs have done well on it until early last fall. Then thier coats started to be brittle and dull. I am sure the CS formula has changed and it's not even worth asking the company. I switched to TOTW salmon formula and their coats improved dramatically. But through our club we have now a very good price on Pinnacle and I'm gradually switching to that.

I have delt with Tony from Alpha Nutrition for a year and a half now he is the best. The best price and great service and he has all the quality brands plus this guy really knows K-9 nutrition. A great place to do business from.
