One of the most valuable commodities these days is information.

Who goes where, what do they look at, what are they buying, e-mail addresss, trends, and how to use this information for profit.

How much was given up when they hacked into millions of social security numbers last year.

There is no such thing as a secure server.  They want to put everyones medical records online?  Now facial recognition software at the BMV.  People are accessing their bank accounts online.  all this on something the government decided wasn't safe for national security purposes.

Anyway, don't freak out because this has been going on already for a very long time.

Just watch your junkmail, you'll see how many people are trying to find you.   And maybe you can tell where some of it came from.

E-bay, google, msn, porn sites, and personal websites from individuals who get them for free like geocities and angelfire.

Just watch the ads here from Google and you can see they are watching.

Its the Internet !!  after all.

No....

I believe I have picked up a spyware somewhere this morning.   Its using different website addy's to mask its origin.

I'll mess with it after I go offline.    My firewall blocks it for now.

Probably from all the porn sites I visit...LOL

Or a youtube video....

I'm about to go now, time to feed again....  Puppys are eating well.

I'll see later whats got my system throwing warnings up.

The data base was wiped out of my favorites and I had to log in after searching the web address down.  Haven't logged in in forever...  I don't know... something screwy.

After a system scan and a restart I'm not getting the alert anymore.

Plus I completely disconnect from the incoming line for three minutes.

It was just odd today when it occured on multiple websites.

It could be related the part in bold as i know many people on here post videos from youtube.

The Koobface worm was first identified in August but it appears to have been altered to hit the social networking site only.

Facebook insisted only a "very small percentage of users" had been affected but in the past day, hundreds of media workers in Boston alone have received infected emails.

The virus spreads by sending enticing messages to Facebook friends with subject headers such as "Look you were filmed all naked!" or "You look just awesome in this movie".

If the recipient clicks on the supplied link, he is taken to a page that looks like the video-sharing website YouTube.

He is then told that he needs to download new software, supposedly the latest version of Adobe Systems Inc's Flash player, in order to watch the film clip.

The downloaded file contains the virus, which will then infect the computer and take users to contaminated sites when they try to use Google, Yahoo or other search engines.

Recipients of such emails are advised not to install the software. If they have already done so, they need to run an anti-virus programme to remove it.
