Don't count out Jim Alloway's dog Tino...he's looking top notch and after seeing him at the WUSV as a try out dog he was on top of his game..

How I would love to be in Austin to meet up with so many old friends, especially those from the SF and South Bay area! South County SC is always tough to beat. It would be interesting to tally up how many National events and World Team competitors that club has produced over the years. Colleen, Martin, Thomas, Egon, David, Dean (back when) so many more... I remember one year 3 of the six world team members were from that club.

The women who come out of horses and pick up a leash have about 8 legs up on ALL of the rest of us!!

I used to wonder if my nine years as a journeyman jockey helped any. Not sure even now. I was a "natural" on a horse. Got my jock's license in 8 mos., a record that might still stand, but I was a complete bumbling fool for the first 2 or 3 years training dogs. More than one person pronounced me "hopeless" as a handler in the 80's. How clearly I rememberJack Smith announcing to all in ear-shot (at a Walter Kreipl seminar) that I would NEVER title a dog.

Good luck to all competitors!
