597. Trap (Old Trap).—Mr. J. H. D. Bayley's, Ickwell House, near Biggleswade, Bedford (owned afterwards by Mr. Cropper, Marquis of Huntly, and Mr. Murchison); colour, white with tan head and black spot on one side (dead).
Pedigree unknown. He was purchased by Mr. Bayley of Mr. Cockayne, then kennel-man to the Oakley Hounds, and now at the Tickham Kennels. Mr. Cockayne bought him from a groom of Mr. Isted, well-known in the Pytchley Hunt. Trap was
believed to have some black and tan blood in him.
Chief Performance: Birmingham, 2nd prize, 1862.
