When a moderator deletes a post it's not on to repost it in another thread, that okay by you Ruger? JUST SAYIN', lol, lol. ML, you got that right...Mods decide what is appropriate and what's not just wish members would remember that.
Go read GSDadmin's post on Vito the jokers OT rules thread...that sums it up and saves me from saying it.
There will be no back and forth nonsense between mods and members as I do not have a problem locking/deleting/editing threads/posts and I don't care if it is OT forum. So if you guys want to keep your OT forum use it appropriately and leave mods out of any threads/comments. Think you guys must have plenty OT topics....JUST SAYIN'!!!

Here's an "off" topic: the sky is blue this morning...past few weeks it has not been blue, at least not so's it could be seen from here. Pretty sure it was blue above the cloud cover and rain falling from the clouds. It was raining a lot...had to wear a raincoat to feed the horses or else get wet. I don't like getting wet from rain, so I wore a raincoat. The ground was very wet...so wet that puddles formed. Had to wear rubber boots to keep my feet from getting wet from all the rain water accumulating on the ground. Up on the side hill terrace where the house is, the water ran down hill so it drained pretty fast, but the rain was coming down at a greater rate than it could drain.
Pretty boring but definitely " off". hopefully no one has been offended.
Vito, thanks for the SRV video sound track the other day...good stuff!

Very interesting how water can do that, Joan.
And rubber boots are one of mankind’s great inventions. I am wearing mine almost every day as the grass is always wet after the morning frost.
This morning it is very foggy here on my island. The ships are constantly tooting their fog horns. It is a cacophony of low bellowing, long blasts, swirling in with the fog.
Here is a pic out of my window right now.
The white specs on the screen are white paint from the window sashes that I painted about 2 years ago. So far the paint is holding up pretty well. Unfortunately on the screen too. I guess I should have removed the screen while painting. But I didn‘t. I should really wash the screens with a bristle brush and some dawn detergent this coming spring.
I used a Benjamin Moore paint from their white collection: „Chantilly Lace“ in a satin sheen.
(oh man...I will do anything to keep myself from working! Pathetic.)
Actually Joan, you might have stumbled on to something. In this day and age of ‚fast info‘...writing ‚slow info‘ like this is very refreshing and calming.

@Jessee...I sure wish you were here before the paint dried...can you just imagine!!? You could have posted pictures of the paint drying!!! Wow! I can see it in my mind's eye............. ......... ..........
Well, on second thought...and .... the picture of the screen with fog as a backdrop is probably more interesting.
I like your screen, by the way. It is very interesting seeing how even all the little squares created by the interwoven wires are...or is yours a modern screen made with synthetic strands. I don't like the synthetic materials used these days. The old metal sceens were better. Except when they got all rusty and your fingers would punch through if you missed the door and hit the screen...that is, if you had a screen door.
Welp, guess I'll go play with puppies. It's warm outside right now. But as soon as the sun gets to the other side of the hill...temps start dropping and time put the sweat shirt back on.
Hey, speaking of rubber boots...I have to wear them every morning also...lots of wet grass from the melted frost or dew...depends on the temp overnite at ground level. Did you know, it can get 30° overnite, but no frost form...funny how that happens, yaknow?

Thank you Joan for your interesting and thoughtful reply.
Yes, paint drying is a very tricky process and is really quite interesting in itself and very underrated in terms of entertainment.
For example, 2 months after I painted the window sills with Chantilly Lace, I placed an almost empty porcelain coffee mug on the window sill in the spare bedroom while measuring for drapes that I thought I might eventually get,,,but still have not purchased. Anyway, I then left the room...leaving the coffee cup (which btw was not Starbucks...hate that stuff), uninterrupted for perhaps 2 weeks. ...as I did not go into that room for a while.
When I saw the coffee mug again, 2 weeks later, I lifted it off the painted sill, and almost had to pry it off which caused a bit of paint flaking. I was quite upset, as I had to sand it down and repaint the whole sill again.
So lessen learned that drying paint is not really ever dry, for many months... even if it feels totally dry.
I think my screens are synthetic, but not sure...I have to examine them closely. I actually need new ones. I saw a service truck the other day, that claimed that they ‚„make screens in your home/driveway, in the truck, while you wait“! That sounds cool. I will ask them about the metal vs synthetic. They will of course tout whatever is more expensive.
Yes, Chantilly Lace...pretty face. You know, for me as a non French speaker...Chantilly means whipped cream in French...the song looses some magic if it were....“whipped cream lace...pretty face“
Don‘t you think?
PS: as the next topic, I can describe what the 2 week old coffee dregs looked like.

So, yes, I'd be most interested in your description of the coffee dreggs....or are they covfefe ones?
Ruger, yes, getting old has a profound affect on what one learns to view as entertaining.
Paint is fascinating stuff.

I know Joan...it just flows and flows. No Flomax needed on this thread.
Ruger- Agreed.
Watched Dogs on Netflix last night and an 18 year old in Italy living on the most beautiful lake in the world, lake como, says into the camera....“I‘m so bored here..I need freedom....and want to travel and see the world and different cultures“
Uhhuh, ,,,we all went through THAT phase.
Funny how every new generation thinks they have invented something new. Especially to those of us young in the 60s and 70s. And fun it was too!
But now...I do like watching paint dry and grass grow...(although it makes me think about having to get out the tractor....)
As I age, I like seeing a job well done, in all details. Cause, the one thing Ive learned in life is that sloppy endings will come back to haunt you.
And, as I age, another thing I know to be true, is that there will never be music again that had the ethereal energy of a Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 or ever another Woodstock, or another Stairway to Heaven....or another Lynard Skynard’s Free Bird.....and the list can go on and on. Eat your heart out Lady GaGa.
